Just the concept of debits and credits is very difficult to understand if you have to go at it alone with the book. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimer's. So I ordered one. Jack Williamson, inspired by Isaac Asimov's Foundation stories, decided to do his own "managed history/galactic empire" novel, with the working title of Star of Empire. His discussion of backgrounds, props, and the general benefit of foreground elements is valuable as well.
